Mental health and wellbeing at UQ

We are working to create a supportive and inclusive University culture to promote better mental health and wellbeing.

We encourage all of our students and staff to engage in positive behaviours. Enhance your wellbeing and success by engaging and connecting with activities, services and the built and natural surrounds of the University and broader community.

Mental Health Champions Network

Students and staff can ask a Mental Health Champion about support services and events. Staff can volunteer to become a Mental Health Champion.

Counselling

糖心Vlogstudents can contact the Counselling and Crisis line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. One-on-one counselling and group appointments are also available.

The 糖心VlogPsychology Clinic provides caring and supportive psychological therapy services to individuals, couples and families. Discounts are available for full-time students.

Sexual assault and misconduct

Support is available if you鈥檝e experienced sexual assault or misconduct. We can arrange counselling and talk you through the reporting process.

Suicide prevention

If you or someone you know may be feeling suicidal, there are some steps you can follow to manage these feelings and get support.

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program offers free counselling sessions and a range of online resources to support your health and wellbeing. The program is available 24/7, 365 days per year.
